Anu Akka's Tackle Programme

Every child deserves to play. Play is a powerful pathway to learning, self-expression, well-being and connection. It is also where intentional living begins: when children choose what to play, they start to discover what they enjoy and who they are.

Our programme participants run it as their pay-it-forward, creating safe, child-led play spaces in schools, communities and child care institutions across Bengaluru, Kolar and Hosakote, in Karnataka.

Our play legacy

Since 2012, learning through play has reached more than 25,500 children. In 2025-26, the Caravan ran at CJM Study Centre, Bengaluru, and reached 155 children in 9 villages of Malur Taluk.

In memory of Anu Akka: the programme carries the name of Anu, who joined us as a volunteer in 2009 and coined the name "Tackle".
